This is an introduction to a method of relaxing before sleep using yoga blocks. This is a method that I have thought up and experienced myself, so I hope it will be of some help.
First of all, the ideal position when lying on your back is when you are standing naturally with your spine curved in an S shape (your ears, shoulders, hips and ankles are all in a straight line ) . *Please be sure to ask a yoga teacher to teach you this.
How to Relax
1. Lie on your back and place a yoga block between your thighs for about 30 to 60 seconds.
2. Place the yoga block to the side and stretch out your arms and legs.
one point
- Please choose the width of the blocks you want to clamp.
- Adjust the clamping position to your liking.
I don't think doing it for too long will have any effect.
Why can you relax?
After your body becomes tense, it can naturally relax by releasing the tension .
Your thighs are connected to your stomach and buttocks muscles, so you naturally exert a moderate amount of force on your stomach and buttocks. This will help you relax all at once.
Also, when you hold the block between your thighs, your shoulders will drop and you will feel more relaxed.
I think using an eye pillow after relaxing will help you feel even more relaxed!
I have included instructions with images below. Although the instructions say to do Mountain Pose standing, you can do it lying on your back.
